Introducing the Microsoft One User Experience

The One User feature simplifies and streamlines the creation of new Microsoft customers in the Marketplace.

Previously, when a new Microsoft customer tenant was created, the administrator could not have a license assigned immediately, requiring the creation of a secondary user to assign the first license. This added friction to the onboarding process.

With this release, we are introducing a new capability that eliminates this extra step by allowing the admin of the new customer tenant to have a license assigned immediately.

As a result, new customers can start using their Microsoft services right after setup, reducing delays and minimizing onboarding steps. This improvement significantly enhances the customer experience by making the process faster and smoother.

One User and Fast Provisioning

Microsoft has implemented fast provisioning for white-listed partners who adopt ‘One User’. When ‘One User' is enabled, key parameters for faster tenant creation are passed via API during new Microsoft customer onboarding in the Marketplace; partners should note Fast Provisioning cannot operate independently of One User.

As a result of the deprecation of Delegated Admin Privileges (DAP), partners are advised to adopt the One User experience alongside GDAP Default Roles to prevent delays in provisioning.
